Make friends with local (and national) media. Send press releases to every outlet that you think should give your concert coverage. Follow up with a phone call. Understand that they don’t ‘owe you’ anything, so don’t be aggressive. However, it IS their job to report on/review anything that they think might be of interest to their audience (readers, listeners, viewers). In some cases it may take years to develop a relationship where they trust you. Read more »
