The graduates of the University of Zagreb Music Academy (Croatia) in the class of Prof. Josip Nochta founded the Zagreb Saxophone Quartet, which has been performing with the present members since 1989.

Formed in 2007, the Zzyzx Quartet has quickly gained highregard after performances at the 2010 and 2008 North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference, the 2009 Navy Band Saxophone Symposium, World Saxophone Congress XV in Bangkok, thailand, as well as numerous guest recitals and master classes across the US.
