The Jutlandia Saxophone Quartet was established in 1996 by three of the current members. In the years that followed the JSQ quickly became one of the most active players on the classical music scene in Denmark, presenting the original repertoire for saxophone quartet along with brand new works commissioned by the quartet and, what turned into a specialty, the adaption of great classical works such as Brahms ”Variations on a theme by Joseph Haydn”, Mussorgskys ”Pictures at an Echibition” and many others.
