Concert I: Our First Concert Ever, continued

[The following paragraph appeared at the bottom of the ASQ's first program. The date was March 12, 1978. The venue was the Ellicott Square Building, the event was Brunch With Bach.]

The ASQ (The Modern Yadz Quartet) is in the process of applying for a performance grant from the State of New York. On Wednesday, March 29th, [1978] the group will be featured in a live performance on WBFO radio at 7:30pm. Once the weather becomes more temperate, you may also see them playing in downtown Buffalo, and in area parks.

This concert series is part of the Amherst Saxophone Quartet's Joint Residency at the University at Buffalo, and in Erie County and the City of Buffalo. It is also part of the ASQ's partnership with the Olmsted School and a collaboration with the Iroquois Central School District. M & T Bank is the sole corporate sponsor ofthis four concert set.

This series is also made possible, in part, with public funds from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York State Council on the Arts. Funding for the Olmsted partnership comes from the Cultural Leadership Group's Cultural Incentive Funding Program. You know that you are well into the aging process when the people you want to be like when you grow up, are younger than you.
